Glossary

The systemic role work according to Anke Sommer does not deal with conventional roles that are taken in everyday life. The systemic role work deals with archaic images, which are composed of very old, contemporary historical information, which were never processed due to their intensity. This information comes from the family history and unconsciously influences the present, thinking, acting and feeling. Systemic role models exist in both the positive and the negative. As long as the negative information of past events is not conscious or processed, the negative role models dominate over the positive ones. In the LEADERSHIP work at the INSTITUT SUMMER we are therefore primarily concerned with the negative, systemic roles in order to gradually dissolve the underlying themes. The further this dissolution takes place, the more positive role models can come to the fore as conducive behaviours.
